How do students find books in the library?
Students may search our library using Destiny Quest. This will inform students if a certain book is available in the library and in what form the book is available. There are thousands of books available for checkout in the media center as well as over 350 E-books (electronic books) that can be read online using a laptop or desktop computer or tablet. Internet access is required. Click the tab above or use the button below to access Destiny Quest or simply click on the words Destiny Quest anywhere in this paragraph.
After opening Destiny Quest, look for a tab on the upper right hand portion of the screen. Click log-in and use your username and password information. Students will use their lunch number in both places and staff members will use their regular username and password information. After logging onto Destiny Quest, click the Follett Shelf button. This will take you to our Follett Shelf page where you can access all of our e-books. Our guest username is "bces" and our password is "tigers". Using the guest username and password, you will not be able to check out any materials, however, you can open the books electronically and read them online.
Students can now check-out two Ebooks using our Follett Shelf. They will use their student ID number (lunch number) for username and password. The books will automatically "check-in" after five days or students can return books early, electronically.
What is Accelerated Reader?
AR quizzes are only allowed to be taken at school. However, clicking on the AR logo to the above left, will allow parents and students access to important information such as book quizzes students have taken and the results of those quizzes.
To log-in use student's username and password. Username should be their school lunch number and the password should be abc.
Click the AR bookfinder button below to search for AR levels for books you may have at home or in the classroom.
